stoc zone 6 swedenNovember 13, 2013

My building management decided today to reimburse me for plants and supplies that I bought for our apt. buildings garden.I'm going to get about 500 bucks back!

I'm thrilled---let me get that wish list back out!

Hello, Stoc! Wow, what a windfall!! Of course you are going to buy more - that's a foregone conclusion, LOL.!

It is evident that Management appreciates your selfless efforts, and recognizes the value aesthetically and monetarily as well in terms of raising the real estate value of their building.

This is definitely one of THE best WIN/WIN hosta stories.

Way to go, Stoc. Keep spreading that hosta happiness. We'll be anticipating your shopping list and pics to follow, yes? :-)

Congratulations!
Jo

Goodness...tell your management to call Esther's garden-phobic co-op board and tell them what's what!

James...Och sÃÂ¥klart, finns det en skala för hur häftigt det är, sÃÂ¥ mÃÂ¥ste det rankas extremt, extremt högt. : )

Stoc, congratulations! I'm thinking that management is pretty smart. They probably see a connection between the appearance of the grounds, and a growing sense of community--which is good for business. It is a win-win situation.

And how lovely to plow the "Thank You" money back into the garden. Geeze, that will get a bunch of great hosta. You are doing a great job. :)

"Now of course, if there's a scale for how awesome that is, that has to rank extremely, extremely high."

Don Jag visste inte att du talade svenska!

Thanks everyone.I gave them the receipts in August and didn't think I was going to get anything.

I thought I had run out of room,I actually made 1 bed about 2 feet wider than we had agreed on.Another bed is creeping out as well.Who needs grass as it is so hard to grow in the shade?

I think that Hostas are in a perfect climate here,I am seeing more and more being used around town.Their popularity here is just starting to take off.Maybe they will use them for all their buildings.

Off to surf Van den top's website!
