Vanda Rev. Masao Yamada 'Hawaii' Am/Aos

onemangoApril 4, 2008

A semi-terete Vanda created by Yamada in 1983 (V. Rhonda X E. sanderiana). The Reverend Yamada served in the Air Force during WW II at a time Japanese-Americans were under tremendous pressure and many were interned in camps. First blooming from a NBS seedling I purchased Spring 2005.

Nice Vanda, I like terete's in the landscape. I am sure you are giving it a heck a lot of sun!
