Maxillaria variabilis var sanguinea

The "variabilis" refers to the color which can be yellow,buff or rusty brown. I think this red form is one of the nicest. Not a very large plant.

Very pretty. I just got a plant of this in a trade. I hope it will bloom out as pretty. Not the same varietal name though, it's purpurata.
