Can I use my copy paper?

HIWTHIApril 3, 2012

As I sit here throwing away my copy paper that is left over after clipping my printed coupons, the thought came to me, "Can I use this paper with or without print, in my garden?' If anyone has an answer for me I'd be most grateful. Thanks

You talking about a vegetable or flower garden? If vegetable, I personally would not put anything with print on it as when it rains, the ink can leach into your soil, contaminating your vegetables. Same can happen with your plants. You won't have to worry about ingesting them, but, one has to wonder how it affects the plant biology. If no print, I've heard from people who shred up the paper and use it as temporary mulch.
