Thanks for posting that link Glenda. Very disappointing news about the Ambrosia Beetle. I hadn't read about that one before. I don't like to hear that the best approach is to "destroy infested plants".
The article below says they generally attack everything except conifers.

If they are as bad as the Japanese Beetles we are in trouble!

I wonder if we ship any undesirables (bugs, that is) to Asia?
