Birds and grains

joycewwctMay 26, 2008

The first year of my new lawn I used Scotts Organic but now reading this site I will shop for grains this week. My yard is full of birds and I wondered whether they will eat whatever grain I apply.

Birds will eat a tiny amount, but will also leave a tiny amount of their own fertilizer. Nothing to worry about.

I mistakenly bought a bag of whole corn. The crows and jays seemed to eat that. The cracked corn gets left alone.
