SBM application, Rain, Rain, Rain

skoot_catAugust 2, 2007

I put down 12lbs per 1000sqft of SBM on Sunday. Over the past 4 days we've received about 4-5 inches of rain.

Do you guys think the SBM will still be effective, or did I just put it down the drain?

I think it will still work for you.

The moisture helps get the decomposition process kicked off. The only negative may be if you think the rain actually washed away the SBM.

Sometimes people talk about significant rain degrading the pre-emergent qualities of Corn Gluten Meal, but SBM has no pre-emergent effect.

Thanks for the input guys. At $20 per 50lb bag, i cant afford for this stuff to washed away.

We just received another 3" yesterday according to my rain gauge.
