We are buying a house west of Philly and I can't seem to get an answer if Italian Cypresses do well there. the house is historic and we want to put an Italiante garden in.

I dont think they will be cold hardy enough. There are other evergreens that would be a lot less trouble, either a narrow upright juniper or narrow arborvitae such as degroots spire.
