Stanhopea lietzii

ifraser25(z11 Brazil)December 18, 2007

I can claim no credit for this superb plant which I acquired aleady in bud thanks to the amazing generosity of a friend. The flowers are long-lasting by Stanhopea standards - about five days. They have a powerful aromatic scent a bit like the zest of about 200 limes and the odd chemical! There is a third spike on the other side not open yet and with the 3 flowering consecutively I will have had about a fortnight's worth, might still be there for Xmas !
