Frog Eating Tomato

shadesmountainAugust 18, 2004

Morning...I have hundreds of small frogs in my garden. You would think they were grasshoppers. Picked a tomato, felt something on the bottom side, turned it over and there was a frog in there eating away. What's the deal? jennifer

That's a first for me...never heard of it...always thought frogs ate bugs. Maybe he was keeping damp and cool. ;O)

My cat brought me one this morning....funny how practical a cat is...all I get is the stuff he doesn't want to eat like frogs and lizards.

I'm with Bigred. That's what I thought at first too. ;-) I've never heard of that before either but maybe he was getting the liquid for a drink? Anyway I bet it was neat to see.

I'm with Big Red too. I agree he was just keeping cool. I'm betting a terrapin took a bite out of the tomato and moved on so the frog found a cool moist spot.
