First incarnata!

jblaschke(8b TX)March 24, 2010

Was browsing the back yard today and discovered the first incarnata shoots of 2010! They'd just broken through the soil, three different clusters of them. I'm always jazzed by this--one of the perks of living in zone 8b right on the edge of 9b!

Lucky you. Hopefully mine will pop up in a couple months as long as we don't get anymore unusually cold weather. All the snow we had seems to have been a good insulator from the frigid temps. Unfortunately it's going to take forever for the ground to dry out.
