White Flower in Ditches

gldno1September 30, 2009

This is the white scabiosa like flower that is in lots of ditches in my area. I have searched my book, and can't find it. It looks a lot like scabiosa ochroleuca that I used to grow, but it was taller and a very pale yellow.

This plant is about 18 to 36 inches tall.

TIA for any help.

Try name that plant; they like to solve the mysteries. I have never seen that wild flower.

Could it be crownvetch or cleome?

I don't know what it is, but not crownvetch, which has pea shaped flowers, or cleome, which I have. Hope you find out. It's pretty
