Clays in NEPA

chris2008September 4, 2007

I know this might seem a bit off topic, but I'm looking to find information on clays in NEPA (types, their uses, etc.). A starting point for the most part. If this is way offtopic, perhaps someone can contact me offlist (chrism3667-at-yahoo-dot-com). Much appreciated.

I am not sure what info you are looking for, or what you want to do with the clay.
I have clay deposits all over our property but I wouldn't even think of using it in my pottery studio. It would be too hard to clean the stones and debris out of it and not knowing the content you would have a hard time firing it to the correct temp.
I buy my clay at Penn Mo Fire Brick Co. in Harrisburg. The clay in my soil is nothing but a gardening headache but you are welcome to take it! LOL
