Anyone try 'Rainbow Moss' (Selaginella uncinata)

hardrockkid(z6 (PA))September 21, 2006

Just saw this for sale at a local nursery... but the tag indicates Z7 Hardiness (which we are most definately NOT! Northern edge of 6 here).

But what a cool looking groundcover, especially for a woodland area - of which I have plenty.

So I decided that for 50% off, I would try it, and hope the tag is overly cautious. Anyone have any luck (or failure) overwintering this plant?

Thanks! And happy fall planting, dividing, rearranging, cleaning up, taking cuttings, and, uh... so forth!

I'm trying this for the first time, too. I'm in Bucks County, Z6. I did a search on it a couple of weeks ago and if I recall correctly, it can be aggressive where it is happy. Hope it does well for both of us.
