Can we plant hibiscus here???

birdwatcher851(Penna)October 24, 2005

I put in a hibiscus yesterday. Now someone is telling me that PA cannot grow it. Our winters are too cold??

I hope this is not true!!

Anyone have hibiscus in their yard?

Thanx! Rachel :)

Depends on the kind of hibiscus. The tropical, shrub type won't survive the winter but hardy hibiscus the perennial will do just fine.
