Keiko or Takara Itoh?

No-Clue(So Cal Zone 9)March 20, 2014

Does anyone have either one of these? I'm trying to decide between the two and I can't pick! Both look so beautiful!

Please share your experience with me? Thank you!

I happen to have both those species, and I prefer keiko because it has a bigger contrast where flowers start a bright pink, and fade towards a very light pink to white better than any of my other itohs.

I also have both and prefer Takara. Whereas Keiko is primarily a pink itoh that fades, Takara is pink with yellow undertones. The plants I bought were the same age, and the Takara was/is much larger and a more prolific bloomer than Keiko. Keiko seems to be a little more temperamental. Hope this helps.
