planting peony roots without eyes?

mscolereMarch 11, 2009

Has anyone had any luck planting peony roots without any eyes on them? I have read that some say it can be done and other say it can't be done. I have quite a few roots and I just want to know if its worth planting them.

It is worth the effort to plant them with no eyes visible. I always do and have often had good plants result. Al
