Is this Lavender Lady

This is a very fast grower and a prolific bloomer but it doesn't set fruit. Is it a LL?

Probably. It's either a Lavender Lady or an Amethyst. Neither will readily set fruit, but Amethyst will sometimes cross if you hand-pollinate it with certain compatible species. The two are pretty much twins in every way, and it's thought they probably have the same parentage. In any event, since the fruit is pretty much inedible, most only grow them for the flowers. Pretty, ain't they?

Thanks. I wasn't sure which variety it was. It was my first passion flower and I've had it for a number of years. The blooms are pretty but are not one of my favorites. I've attempted to cross pollinate with a different variety but have never been able to make it set fruit. This plant is indestructible and has taken over my patio! I've cut it back multiple times. This and my luteas are my most prolific bloomers.

I have a lavender lady as well. I like it because it is a reliable bloomer and has many blooms open at once. Early this summer it had 6 suckers coming up near the base. I dug up each one with a little bit of the root on it and planted each in its own pot. Though small they are happily growing. I have never seen any fruit on mine.
