King palm irrigation

kutsyyMarch 29, 2011

We just planted king palm (about 6' tall) and I am redoing sprinklers around it. I am trying to decide between Bubbler & Rain Bird Root Watering Series. Any recommendations? Also should I go with 1 or 2 and how far from the trunk?

Thank you,

I as far as distance from the palm tree trunk, generally, as long as the sprinkler spray reaches within 1 foot of the truck. It depends how far the sprinkler sprays. I would not place it very close.

What is your clmate and zone is also a consideration. Is it dry and do these palms like it somewhat dry or damp etc..
