Quadrangularis tendrils

subtrop(10b)September 16, 2012

I'm wondering if it's normal for the older tendrils to get woody/hard. The first 5/6 ones are green and bendable and then they're starting to get woody. It's about 6 months old and around 6 feet long. Why is it doing that?

Yeah, that's normal. Why? The plant doesn't need to support it any more as it stays structurally sound.

Thanks for your answer. Do you also know as to when a quadrangularis can be expected to flower?
