Creep year, what can I expect in the future?

I have a Sarah Bernhardt and a Festiva Maxima (spelling?) and they each have three fat buds. I replanted them last fall so that they got more sun and were barely under the soil. They're definately taller this year, can I expect more blooms next year? At some point I'd love to get a dozen or more blooms from each, will that happen? I have room for two more peonies and I'm not sure if I should get the same two so that I can have the dozen or more blooms. I'd like to try some other varieties.

Thanks in advance,

If they are happy, you can definitely count on many more blooms eventually. My Festiva Maxima plants are four years old, and I have almost 100 buds per plant, counting the smaller side buds!

If you're going to get two more peonies, why not try some other varieties? There are so many nice ones....
