what kind of peony is this?

engk916(6/NJ)June 7, 2009

i have some peonies which stopped blooming a couple of weeks ago, and today saw this variety at a nearby farm. does anyone here happen to know what kind of peony this is? i'm not sure if this is considered an early/middle/late variety, but i would love to have some in my garden.

It is almost impossible to identify any particular cultivar of peony from a picture.

The latest double pink herbaceous peony I have is Rozella. It is very double but the stems are very strong and it does not flop. Rozella is not widely available but I am sure it can be found. You might try to google for it. It blooms concurrently with another latest double that blooms in white, Ann Cousins. Unfortunately Ann Cousins is a flopper.
