Ants on cacti seedling

Ethnogardener(8b)March 5, 2013

So they swarmed my seedling pot last night. I THINK they are argentine ants. So obviously i want to get rid of them without hurting my seedlings.

Argentine ants are omnivorous, making them excellant candidates for simple ant BAITS.

If this container is well away from an edible crop, I'd advise that you locate some Amdro fire ant bait, which is also labeled for Argentines. There are also a wide variety of other bait products. Do not use a spray or any other granular product not expressly labeled as a bait.
