Using neem oil for organic pest control

djkj(9b)April 6, 2014

Do you folks use Neem Oil? I wanted to use them on corn silks and found a video demonstrating the technique. How effective is Neem oil in controlling pests in corn? And is this the right way to do it?

Here is a link that might be useful: Using Neem Oil to organically control pests

Neem products are one of the insecticides acceptable for use by organic growers, but even at that it needs to be used with caution. For the most part the active ingredient in Neem products needs to be ingested by the target insect so if your pest chews on and eats part of the plant it might be one means of control.
