Strawberry Leaf Edges dried, burnt

LoneCowboy(8)May 5, 2013

Good day everyone!

I just purchased these Strawberry plants from a major hardware store and within a week, this leaf condition appeared. It appears to be, according to some internet research, "LEAF BLOTCH CAUSED BY GNOMONIA COMARI (ANAMORPH ZYTHIA FRAGARIAE)" but I was hoping to get some second and third opinions.

Also, how effective would NEEM OIL in the control of your diagnosis?

Thank you :)

Not a fungus disease. Looks like the plant ran short of water.

as far as my experience.. i expect the old leaves.. there at purchase.. to die immediately after planting..

life is in the next set of leaves ...

i would not waste time.. nor effort.. nor chemicals.. on such ...

what do the new leaves look like
