RE: Mexican fan palm seedlings

jonpaJune 11, 2014

These two little guys I just got about a week ago, I put them in fresh soil+fertilized them. They seem a little "limp" to me but they are still green. Can anyone tell me if I'm don this c correctly? I'm very new with planting seedlings and i want these to guys yo survive. I live in zone 7a and I'm keeping these out on my deck for the summer. Thanks a bunch!

This past winter (14F) killed all three 12 ft. (OA) tall Mexican fan palms in my yard in zone 8A. I don;t bother growing them again and instead grow palms that match my zone or are half zone hardier. Now I'm growing a California fan palm (4-5 ft. OA) in the ground that wasn't killed by the freeze.
