Finnaly Precoius rain

andyandy(6bMI)July 11, 2011

I'm getting my first rain in at least three weeks. It is not the cool front though as it is still in the 80s and VERY humid. They are still saying 90 and sunny tomorrow so I expect to see my palms spears shoot up at their fastest rate this year. After a couple of days in the low 80s we are supposed to be back in the high 80s by the end of the week. I hope all of the other people who need rain get some too.

Congrats on the rain! Its hot here today too! It got to 94F in my yard and right now at almost 8:30pm, its a humid 87F. Ive been watering some of my plants twice a day! Tomorrow should get close to a 100F (a humid 100F!). We did already get past 100F this past June, so tomorrow might not be the hottest day of the year.

Good luck! Enjoy the showers!

The benefits of the rain were apparent this morning. It was a very steamy night and only fell to about 71. I could see additial growth over night. Especailly on my green dwarf coconut. The emerging spear really opened up. It's sunny and 87 right now so I have no doubt additional growth today will be visible. We got soaked and it was just what the palm doctors ordered. We do have a mini cool off. They are saying low humidity and highs of about 80 falling to low 60s the next two days. it won't last long as they are saying it will be humid with possible showers over the weekend and low 90s.
