Hab plants looking a little puckered?

Orlando_ChiliheadApril 30, 2011

I started these Habs from peppers I brought back from South America last year, they were small and over wintered fine, repotted and been outside for about 3 months now. Ithink have grown out well, flowered good and have even set some fuit but I noticed the leaves on 20 out of 22 pots seemed a little puckered and leathery yesterday. I hit them with some fish fert about 3 weeks ago and a little Bone meal. I took a risk last night and gave them a shower with some 10-10-10, anyone got a idea? Also I need to put these in the ground soon, how bad would it be to transplant them as they are setting fruit?

That is very typical of habs. Maybe low on nitrogen. I would hold off a little before doing anything . Sometimes they can fix themselves . Especially if over fertilized.

Thanks, I think it might have been a little low there are back to normal now. I am finally going to get these put in the ground but I am wondering if that will cause some major issues as most of them have already fruited? Think I will loose the fruit if I transplant them?

I think if you keep the roots intact you have a good chance of keeping the buds.
