What's on the underside of this pumpkin leaf?

acorn922July 20, 2014

I found concentric white roundish patterns on the underside of a pumpkin leaf.
Are they eggs?
I washed them away.
Couldn't get a clear close up. They're a little longer than an inch.

Those are the waxy deposits of the Giant Whitefly....eggs are typically deposited within those spirals.

A suggestion.....it's very helpful for us if you provide your general location. Whether wanting help with pests or information about an unknown plant, providing us with a part of the country can be essential information.
