Pls ID this catepillar - is it a good guy or not?

Found these on my tomato plant. Seems to prefer the cherry tomatoes. Are they good guys? Can someone ID them for me?

Thanks

They are about 4 inches long.

That is a tobacco hornworn often confused with the tomato hornworm. They are similar and both are bad for tomato plants. Pick and squish or cut it in half with scissors.
