Corn Stalk Dying 1 by 1
I'm a new gardner, but you probably could figure that out after I post my problem. I planted 5 corn plants all in a row :-) When they got to be a few feet tall, the end one started to die, then slowly the one next to it and then the next and they died down the line. During this process I learned about their need for cross pollination and planted a significanntly larger number of them in a patch, however, I left the dead ones there. Now the new crop that is growing quite well is starting to die one by one in that same row as the original plants. I do notice that there are small black speckled bugs on the dead plants. Any suggestions?
