Help! Something ate all my seedlings to the ground!
Hi all, first time posting here and hope I can find some answers. Went out to check my newly planted seedlings this morning only to find that something has eaten almost everything over night. This included 14 tomato plants, zuchinni and cucumber. Only 1 tomato plant was left, and whatever it was didn't touch the lettuce. Everything was literally chewed to the ground. My kids are going to be devasted when they get home from school, as they put a lot of work into it :-( We built the patch to be chicken proof so I don't think any hares could get in, but possums could. Is this something they would do? Or maybe rats or mice? We live in a rural area in Gympie Qld. Anyone know what I could be dealing with? Or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
