New Ice Storm Warning for W, C, N OK
As the developing weather conditions firm up, the Winter Storm Watch for portions of western, central and northern Oklahoma has been replaced by an Ice Storm Warning. In far NW and W OK, at this time there is a Winter Storm Warning. Personally, given a choice, I'd choose a Winter Storm Warning over an Ice Storm Warning any day if I could choose.
I've linked the text of the Ice Storm Warning below or you can go to the webpage of NWS-Norman to look at all the various colors on the county map graphic, indicating various types of watches, warnings and advisories, to see which ones are in effect for which counties. Other graphics there show the timing of precipitation and even forecast amounts.
If you're adjacent to an area with an advisory, watch or warning but not currently under any of those at this time, remember that weather conditions can suddenly shift or expand and keep an eye on your weather.
Suddenly, it is starting to feel like the North Pole here in OK, just in time for Christmas.
