What's eating my plants?!

Palm Springs, ca. Something's gotten my sunflowers, spinach and jalape�os. It works fast, possibly overnight because I never see anything during the day.

Night workers includes slugs, snails, a few caterpillars and some of the 4-legged critters.

in other words... did you go out at night with a flashlight ????

also.. very lightly scratch around in the soil .. just around the crown of the plant ...... see if you can roust any night timers napping just under the soil ...

most of them dont move very fast.. nor very far ...
