Complimentary plants with plumeria

juan2noJuly 2, 2010

July 1st 2010. I would like ideas on different type plants and succulents that would grow together year round with my three plumeria plants(3-4 foot). Currently I have some lillies(already in full bloom), ferns, queen palm, sticks on fire(not so red now), canna and cordyline. Thinking of adding some epiphyllums around queen palm. My idea is to have complimentary plants and succulents with similar watering requirements(close anyway)that would bloom year round.Plumeria starting to bloom. Area has parcial shade in morning.

Try Euphorbia milii. They NEVER stop blooming for me. If you overwater them, its fine (at least in So Cal). But you can also totally ignore them and they will still do great. The only bad thing are the killer spines lol. There are many bi-colored hybrids too with 'flowers' the bigger than a quarter, not just the old red ones with little flowers.
