Questions about mats temps.

Hi Bill or Mike, the heating mat I bought at OSH only has ONE temperature, sometimes it feels very hot, I don't want my cuttings little roots being "cooked"(I keep them on the mats at night) . Do you have any solution? I Do spray the tips at least once a day, I have them outdoors on full sun and on cemented walkway, during the day.....this week's temp. is getting increasinly warmer, is it safe to live the cuttings outside during the night?

Always grateful,

You may want to put something in between to insulate it if it gets too hot. Paper is a choice, the more pages the higher the insulation.

I think a soil temp of around 80 to 90 degrees would be ideal for rooting. Over a hundred ten degrees would probably be too hot. Can you measure the temp at all?
