Felco 7, rotating handle always getting sticky. Any ideas?

fireweed22January 20, 2014

I do quite a bit of pruning and enjoy the #7.
But half way through a year the rotating portion bogs down. Thorough cleaning and grease helps but it never goes as fast as when new.
I must be doing something wrong- anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

That's weird. I've had a Felco 7 for over twenty years without the handle gumming up. What kind of grease or oil are you using?

The handle on my #7 surprised me one time by coming off - usually it's the spring that does that! Anyway, that handle will pull off, you can clean it and oil it, and it will work just fine for decades.
