Well, I suppose it was inevitable. The deer found my potager last night. Wiped out my Bright Lights Chard and beets. Grrr... I have electric deer sticks in all the beds. They started on some turnip greens that were right next to a stick and quit. I sincerely hope they got stung BADly.

It's going to be hard to sleep tonight...

That's too bad! Deer can do a lot of damage :(

Do you have any plants around the potager to discourage deer? I don't know if that really works, but I'm thinking about putting raspberries outside the fence of my potager next year and they don't seem to like the blueberries either. Of course, if you have a lot of deer, that probably won't work. Most of ours are pretty timid and only come down when the apples are ripe, or if I plant roses too far from the house.
