We have had a really warm winter in Delaware and I just took a bunch of cuttings from a Dusty Miller plant that's about 18 inches tall. Does anyone have any tips for a newbie that already has the spring itch?
Dusty miller can be sown directly in the garden or rooted from cuttings of the firm central growth. I winter sow mine from fresh seed. Last year I had great germination and they looked good all summer. If you go the cutting route, I suggest dipping them in a rooting hormone. Look at the winter sowing forum for how to winter sow. They can be planted out early and by the time it gets warm you should have a nice little plant.
