TC, medium sterilization

konradFebruary 24, 2007

Hi all,

I'm new to micropropagation and I'm currently looking for some autoclave. So here's my question - will that line of autoclaves be ok for plant tc medium sterilization? http://www.pressurecooker-outlet.com/aaelsterilizers.htm

That pressure cooker will be just fine. In fact, I bought my pressure cooker at Walmart. I picked out the least expensive model they had. A few of my jars have been sitting around for a few months, and still no sign of bacteria/mold in any of them.

Just let it cook for 15 min, and afterward, just let the pressure come down on its own (slowly)
