I would like to propagate my 30 year old kwanzan cherry trees located in northeast PA. This is new to me. What is the best way to go about it?

Take a 4-6 inch cutting of firm new growth.... apply 0.8% IBA (Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist
rooting is slow so grafting is often used
