Propagating a Ficus

botanyspearsFebruary 6, 2007

I have only recently become interested in indoor cultivation, so my knowledge is limited. All of my plants are doing quite well. However, i'm trying to propagate a little ficus i've come across from cuttings. I propagated a woody plant like this before so any advice would be great. Also, is rooting hormone a must?

This plant is best propagated using "air layering" & yes IBA 0.1% (a rooting hormone) Have some luck propagating "creeping ficus" from cuttings but none of the others.....
