I generally take offsets, from around the plants. This tends to be a runner in my garden, and there are always small plants coming up a foot or so away from the mother. I also found out this winter that it is deer candy, as there are no leaves and only the older stams left on mine.

I know this is an old thread but can anyone tell me how cold hardy this plant is? I just purchased one at a local garden center but now I am wondering if it will even survive the winter. Thanks!
