Weird growth on Weeping Santa Rosa plum tree

I noticed this weird growth all over the branches of my weeping Santa Rosa Plum tree. Any one know what this is?

Perhaps black knot?

Definitely black knot fungus. Ram, get in touch with your local county extension office to learn how (and when) to control this serious fungus disease.
