cloning (rooting) chamber

transplanted_texanJune 16, 2013

I've been taking cuttings this spring from anything I can get my hands on. I'm curious about building an aeroponic cloning chamber as a way to improve my results, or at least speed them up.

My question: what are the pros/cons of using an air pump based system (fish tank aerator) as opposed to using a true sprayer system? I've seen plans for both.

Any tips are appreciated. And no, not planning on cloning anything one would ingest... unless you count bee balm or mint.

Thanks!

If you use a mist sprayer it's not necessary to have an enclosed chamber, in fact it would probably be counterproductive as you need to maintain good air circulation. I prefer the sprayer as you get too many mold problems in enclosed areas. Good luck - Ian.
