bottle brush cuttings

Who has the secret to rooting bottle brush cuttings?

I have tried several times with no success. What is the secret? Thanks.

I'm far from a pro, but I've had extremely good luck rooting it. Right now is a good time to take cuttings in my area. I just clip new growth, strip the leaves off the bottom, scrape it, dip in in my rooting powder and put it in damp coarse sand. I do have an intermittent mist system that might help a lot. I have had almost 100 percent survival of the cuttings. The hard part is getting them through the first winter. They seem to be tender.
