re granite dust

backtolifeNovember 17, 2010

Could anyone tell me if they have any experience or knowledge of using granite dust gotten from Cemetery Headstone engravers where Alumina Zirconia is used in the sandblasting technique of engraving and therefore would be within the rock dust, although in small amounts as it is an aid to the sandblasting process.

Is this rock dust too toxic to used for vege garden extra soil mineralization or is it not a situation.

Alumina zirconia is not soluable and therefore will not appear in any plant material...therefore will not appear in any human so toxicity is not a problem
this same product is used in ceramic's that is used to coat cooking & eating utenslis approved by the gov SO... I would not worry about any harm from using the granite dust.
