Help propagating a begonia

harmonyfarmsAugust 29, 2007

I have the LARGEST begonia this year! It's really insane! I bought it from a little old lady in town. I'd like to propagate it over the winter in my garage. Any ideas how to do this? I've never tried this before?

There are several different Begonias, is this a tuberous begonia? Al

I have no idea what I have. When I buy from this lady nothing is labeled which is why you only pay a few dollars. Here's a pic, hopefully!

You have a fibrous rooted begonia. You can start more by taking stem cuttings if you want more of the same plant. A well lighted frost free location should allow you to propagate them over the winter. Al
