yucca seed pod

emma_lu(z4 wisconsin)August 9, 2005

I have been given several Yucca seed pods. They are green at the present time and are about 2 inches long and 2 inches around. Not sure how to plant these. Do I plant the entire pod, or the seeds inside? I live in zone 3.

Seeds are inside, black. Do not harvest till the pods dry and start to crack. Zone 3 is mighty cool for yucca, but here in PA (7a) they self seed all over the place without any help.
