Lion's Tail Propagation?

clawskeeter(z5 PA)September 3, 2006

Hi! I need some help...does anyone know how to propagate lion's tail from cuttings? I have a very large LT plant in my garden that will not overwinter outdoors in my zone, and it's far too large to pot up and bring inside. Besides collecting seeds, is there any way to propagate this plant from cuttings so that I may overwinter the LT in my house and keep some for next year? Thanks!

Take cuttings of firm new growth. apply 0.1% IBA (rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist takes 15-40 days to root
